These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the WAYGORIDES website and booking platform (the “Platform”) and your rental of any vehicle from us. By creating an account, making a booking, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform or our services.
1. About Us
WAYGORIDES is a bike and scooter rental service operating from a single outlet in Wayanad, Kerala. We are not a franchise, and we do not operate through partner outlets or third-party branches — every booking is fulfilled directly by us from our Wayanad location.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving license (two-wheeler category) to rent a vehicle with us.
A learner's license is not accepted.
You must be legally competent to enter into a binding contract under applicable law.
3. Account & Booking
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering and booking.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it.
Bookings are confirmed only after successful payment and completion of KYC verification.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if the information provided is inaccurate, or if KYC verification fails.
4. KYC / Identity Verification
Before your vehicle is handed over, you must complete identity verification through DigiLocker, which securely confirms your driving license details directly from government records.
Please carry your original physical driving license with you at the time of pickup, for visual verification alongside your DigiLocker confirmation.
We do not accept bookings from riders who cannot complete DigiLocker verification or produce a valid original driving license at pickup.
5. Rental Charges & Payment
Payment for your booking must be made online through the Platform, using the payment methods offered there (card, UPI, net banking, etc.).
The price shown at checkout includes the rental charge and applicable taxes, unless stated otherwise.
We are not responsible for payment failures caused by your bank, card network, or the third-party payment gateway, though we will reasonably assist in resolving any such issue.
We reserve the right to revise pricing from time to time; the price applicable to your booking is the one confirmed at the time of payment.
6. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of booking, as shown in your booking summary. The amount varies depending on the vehicle.
The deposit covers potential damage, traffic violations, or outstanding charges arising during your rental.
The deposit is refunded after the vehicle is returned and inspected, usually within 5–7 working days to your original payment source, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
7. Fuel
The rental charge does not include fuel. We provide the vehicle with enough fuel to reach the nearest petrol station.
No refund is given for unused fuel remaining in the tank at the time of return.
8. Kilometre Limits & Extra Charges
Each vehicle includes a set number of free kilometres for your booking duration, shown on the vehicle's page and in your price breakdown.
Kilometres used beyond this limit are charged at the per-km rate shown for your vehicle, payable at drop-off.
9. Late Return
A short grace period applies after your scheduled return time.
Returns beyond the grace period are charged at the extra-hour rate shown for your vehicle. Please contact us before your drop-off time if you need to extend your booking, subject to vehicle availability.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
Your security deposit is always refunded, regardless of cancellation.
Refund of the rental charge depends on when you cancel relative to your pickup time:
No show: 100% of the rental charge withheld.
0–6 hours before pickup: 75% withheld.
6–24 hours before pickup: 50% withheld.
24–72 hours before pickup: 25% withheld.
72 hours or more before pickup: 10% withheld.
If we cancel your booking for a reason on our end (e.g. vehicle unavailability), you receive a full refund.
Refunds typically take 5–7 working days to reflect in your source account, excluding weekends and bank holidays; the exact timing may depend on your bank.
No refund is given for early drop-off.
11. Vehicle Use & Rider Responsibilities
Vehicles are for personal use only. Only the registered rider may operate the vehicle — it may not be sub-let or handed to another person.
You must wear a helmet and appropriate riding gear at all times.
You are responsible for inspecting the vehicle at pickup and must report any existing damage, malfunction, or missing parts to our team immediately.
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was handed over in, at the same outlet it was picked up from.
You are responsible for any traffic violations, fines, or penalties incurred while the vehicle is in your possession, and must report such violations to us as soon as possible.
You must comply with all applicable traffic laws and speed limits at all times.
Any mechanical failure caused by your negligence in basic upkeep (e.g. checking oil, tyre pressure) during the rental is your responsibility; genuine mechanical faults are covered by us.
12. Damage & Liability
You are liable for any damage to the vehicle occurring during your rental period beyond normal wear and tear, as assessed at the return inspection.
While our vehicles are insured, you ride at your own risk. WAYGORIDES is not responsible for injury, loss, or death arising from vehicle use, except where caused by our proven negligence.
Towing costs arising from punctures, collisions, or breakdowns due to improper use are your responsibility.
13. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
Use the vehicle for any illegal purpose, racing, or commercial passenger/goods transport.
Attempt to tamper with, disable, or bypass any tracking or safety device fitted to the vehicle.
Allow anyone other than yourself (the verified rider) to operate the vehicle.
Provide false information during booking or KYC verification.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a booking, refuse future service, and forfeit the applicable portion of the security deposit if these Terms are violated.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Please check this page periodically.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala.
