Question 1

What is WAYGORIDES?

Accepted Answer

WAYGORIDES is Wayanad's own bike and scooter rental service — an easy, affordable way to explore Wayanad's hills, forests, and backroads on two wheels.

Question 2

What makes WAYGORIDES special?

Accepted Answer

We're a local, single-outlet service based in Wayanad — not a franchise — so every bike is maintained by us and every booking is handled directly by our own team, with real local knowledge of the best routes.

Question 3

How does booking work?

Accepted Answer

Pick your dates on the homepage, choose a bike from the available fleet, and complete payment online. You'll need to sign up/log in and complete KYC before your booking is confirmed.

Question 4

What documents do I need for KYC?

Accepted Answer

You'll verify your identity via DigiLocker from your profile — this pulls your driving license (two-wheeler category; a learner's license isn't accepted). Please carry the original driving license with you at pickup for verification.

Question 5

Is fuel included in the price?

Accepted Answer

The rental charge covers the bike and applicable taxes, not fuel. We hand over the bike with enough fuel to reach the nearest petrol station. Unused fuel at return isn't refunded.

Question 6

Is there a limit on kilometres?

Accepted Answer

Yes, each bike includes a set number of free kilometres for your booking duration, shown on the bike's page and in your price breakdown. Extra kilometres are charged at the per-km rate shown there.

Question 7

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a refundable security deposit is collected with your booking — the exact amount depends on the bike and is shown in your booking summary before payment. It's refunded after the bike is returned and inspected.

Question 8

When can I expect my refund?

Accepted Answer

Refunds (security deposit or cancellation refunds) usually take 5–7 working days to reflect in your source account, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

Question 9

Is there a penalty for returning the bike late?

Accepted Answer

Yes, returns beyond a short grace period attract additional hourly charges at the extra-hour rate shown for your bike. Please contact us if you need to extend your booking before the drop-off time.

Question 10

How do I cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel directly from Manage Bookings in your profile, or email us at support@waygorides.com and we'll process your refund.

Question 11

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Your security deposit is always refunded, even on cancellation. Rental-charge refunds depend on timing: no-show forfeits the full rental amount; cancelling 0–6 hours before pickup withholds 75%; 6–24 hours withholds 50%; 24–72 hours withholds 25%; and 72+ hours before pickup withholds just 10%. If we cancel your booking due to an issue on our end, you get a full refund.

Question 12

Who do I contact to pick up the bike, and how?

Accepted Answer

We'll share our team's contact details by SMS and email once your booking is confirmed. You can also reach us directly by phone or WhatsApp — see our Contact page for details.

Question 13

Can I pick up and drop off at different locations?

Accepted Answer

We currently operate from a single outlet in Wayanad, so pickup and drop-off both happen at that same location.

Question 14

Is there an age limit for riders?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you need to be 18 years or older with a valid driving license to rent with us.
